If one media outlet writes a story like "Some guy named 'Kenneth Harding' got shot by police -- the end.", they'll simply be outdone by another that writes a story like "Kenneth Harding, a 19 year old male with a long criminal record, was shot and killed by police on Saturday.".Hyde Parke;2988867 said:In the Busayo situation tho, there were accounts given by family, and friends in addition to his college background. In any story crime related or not, the best case scenario is to stick to the facts relevant to the current issue, any additional information not specifically related to the issue, is only provided to persuade and or influence the reader to think a certain way about the information provided.
that is all im saying.
Since I doubt they'd want to be known as "the site/newspaper/news channel that writes stories with few details.", I'd expect that they'd try to include as much background information as possible.
