This is the reason why police departments should do their best to get people who represent a certain community to police that community. A person from that community is going to have a balanced opinion of the community because they are familiar with both the good and the bad within the community. Let's be real, if you deal with the worst part of a group on a daily basis, it's not going to take long for you to start to associate that lower level with the group as a whole. It's not right and even stupid when you think about it, but humans are stupid creatures and highly susceptible to making such poor connections especially white people who are basically trained from birth to think that everyone else is inferior.
