The Wrestling Observer recently posted a report noting that a top WWE executive, who is said to have a lot of influence on Vince McMahon's decision making, is lobbying to have the planned Rock vs John Cena Wrestlemania match scrapped from the card.

The executive feels that John Cena will undoubtedly be booed heavily by the Miami crowd, as the match is taking place in The Rock's hometown, and that having the company's biggest star booed at the biggest event of the year would not be good for business.

In response to this report, a fan posted the following on Twitter, to which John Cena responded:

Damn, I remember One Night Stand. That was back in 06' against RVD I think? But I remember the atmosphere to that match. Cena was getting booed out the fucking building. That shit was crazy! It doesn't matter if he gets boo'd because the people's asses will already have paid and will be in their seats. The close to 1 million people at home who order the PPV boo's won't be heard in the arena, so the E has their money as well. It doesn't matter.

That top executive trying to protect their golden boy is silly because he's been getting boo'd for YEARS now. And it's the E's fault they haven't found out a way to justify those boo's.
