As a child of the 70's, Roger Moore will always be James Bond to me. I was taken to see "The Spy Who Loved Me" at the drive-in and saw every Roger Moore Bond flick after that in the theaters starting with Moonraker and ending with A View to a Kill.
During that time, Sean Connery came back as Bond in '83 in "Never Say Never Again". I remember seeing the trailer for it on TV and told my moms that they changed Bond. When she saw it she was like "Ooooooo... Konny! That's Sean Connery, the original James Bond! They brought him back! That's the Bond I grew up with".
... needless to say I didn't go see it and haven't seen it to this day. In fact, I've seen very few James Bond flicks that didn't star Roger Moore.
