yeah i agree. this album actually feels like she had something to do with it...even the lyrics are more personal. her voice is still weak, but not bad. Russian Roulette was a really bad single choice. If she had come with Rude Boy first she could've had a #1.

"come on rude boy boy can you get it up come on rude boy boy is you big enough take it take it take it take it" the first stand out song to me on that album was G4l. but it became too dark for me. i'm in a happy place right now

This CD was terrible. One of the few redeemable qualities was her attempt with the content of the album. Other than that, you had many hit-or-miss beats, many good beats which she destroyed with terrible vocals and overall poor mixing. It didn't sound harmonious. It sounded like a great beat and an extremely scratchy voice. Her songs are catchy like So Hard and Rockstar (which have appealed to the masses significantly.) However, if you are craving a true R&B experience or a better alternative experience, look elsewhere

LOL it's not supposed to be R&B, and it's supposed to be left-field. For what they were trying to do, I think it's pretty solid. It's not the pop-friendly, substance-less album everybody thought she was gonna put out, and the album shows Rihanna's musical evolution and "growth" (a word artists like to throw around interchangeably with...er..same) and this is the best her voice has ever sounded. It's like deep, dark, agressive storytelling, and she maintains the same mood throughout most of the album without it being drawn-out/corny/overbearing. Listening to this, you'd think she beat up Chris Brown. Emo-esque mid-tempo alternative ballads with a LITTLE of what we expected.

The good: Photographs, Rockstar 101, G4L, Rude Boy, Fire Bomb

The okay: Hard, Te Amo, Russian Roulette. Cold Case Love (I don't

understand why this had to be 6 minutes)

The bad: The Last Song, Stupid In Love (This one's actually aight)

The ugly: Wait Your Turn
