i loved the direction she went with, it shows growth as an artist, her vocals have gotten better, but still leaves much to be desired

I'm really surprised as to how they chose the lead single G4L, Hard, Stupid in Love, Rockstar, and Rudeboy were all stronger than Russian Roulette and have enough 'edginess' to get some attention

It's the one album I'm feeling most right now.. I do agree that Russian Roulette was a bad choice for lead off single...the only song I actually skip. Overall, it has way too many "standout" type tracks to remain under any radar.

yeah i agree. this album actually feels like she had something to do with it...even the lyrics are more personal. her voice is still weak, but not bad. Russian Roulette was a really bad single choice. If she had come with Rude Boy first she could've had a #1.

I love this album. I was never a Rihanna fan before, but she won me over with this one. Rude Boy is my fav. I also like Cold Case Love, Hard, G4L and Rockstar 101.

Yes. Her voice doesn't impress me, so it's hard for me to take her seriously. Then when I listen to the music, I can't really relate. I can say I kinda liked maybe 2 or 3 songs on the album, but for the most part it just sounds like nothing spectacular to me.
