"So Ross you only sod 100k records" - Angela Yee

"But i'm the only rapper making 10 g's a album" - Ross

"I got a Koch grind, i meet with the bosses" - Ross

lol

when has he ever acted like he sold more than gold tho, except for the time when he went platinum, he and tip were 2 of the few still selling the last few years, how weren't they winning? just asking

I'm not saying they weren't. I'm saying with TI last album bricking and Ross looking like he will brick with this one. What's the next step? Not even the Robin Thicke record could give TI a buzz

idk i never been a big fan of either of them

they both pretty much cater to whats relevant, so i coulkd see em goin a couple mo years

That's what happens when your content is pretty much the same over your career.

Ask DMX.

At least, Jay jumped on trends.

Nas created his own concept albums.

What's interesting is that T.I. lived it and Ross faked it yet they were both successful.

Rawse got Meek Milly n Wale N Stalley

Rawse owns over 30 wing stops

Rawse has Multiple Business ventures.

That nigga Ross's rap persona is fake as hell, but financially he's straight. And i think as long as both of them keep their core audiences they will remain relevant to someone. The hiphop culture as whole though is another story.

"So Ross whats your sales expectation for this project" - interviewer

"Check the album title, I'm already ahead of these rap niggas". - Ross

Hey there were a lot of posters saying mastermind was only going to do 100,000 copiesin its first week and jumped the gun saying he was finished. If rick Ross debuts number 1 twice in the same year only 9 months apart from each album how can he be irrelevant?

Keepin' it funky, Pharrell is the main reason Robin Thicke was hot. He was on fire last year. I think we're expecting too much from TIP sales wise at this point in his career. He's almost 14 years in and has hit his peak in 2006 lyrically and 2008 commercially. Stil having a major deal and still able to go number 1 in 2013 is a feal not many OG's in the game can do.

Ross on the other hand always stuck to the streets when it came to hits and Ross has yet to have that defining moment as an artist that said "this is history right here". He hit his peak with Teflon Don critically and Deeper Than Rap musically.

The next step for TI is to just stick to making records that doesnt dent his legacy but can still show that he ain't really lost it too bad.

Ross needs to show growth. Jeezy is my example of a nigga who went from talking that trap shit. It's just on a more grander scale musically and it's more, eh, mature? Just my opinion on all this.

Ain't mastermind the highest selling rap album this year? Let's not act like this album coming out don't even have a single. Rick Ross is far from irrelevant

Everybody but Taylor Swift(and possibly Em next week) caught a brick this year but I see what u sayin.

Emphatic Nosign

Ross and T.I are "Uncle" status. Uncle status means your deep enough into your career where up and coming rappers open up for you at shows. Uncle status means up and coming rappers look up to you.

Uncle status means when newer, up and coming rappers get asked who they were influenced by and they say "I grew up listening to Ross and T.I."

I heard a Funkmaster Flex interview a long time ago (probably in the mid 90s) He said LL Cool J wasn't a pioneer or father of the culture but he's like an uncle. That's where the phrase "uncle" comes from.

You're a wack poster

There has never been a point in hip hop history where sales have meant less as they do now.

At this point you pretty much have to make the most catchy vapid bullshit in order to have a decent selling single and even then that usually doesn't translate to good album sales.
