I know you prolly like damn.. how can it be an appreciation thread for a nigga I never heard of.. but Rich is that guy man. Tech9ne is getting out there and it's still a lot of people that are sleep on him, Rich got tracks wit Tech he's just so indy he moves on his own schedule so it's tough to get him on some contractual shit.

dude been around for a long time. on one hand you can say he's solid and consistent, on the other hand it can be said he has really stayed in the same lane for nearly two decades

this can be said... Rich and Tech9ne are like two sides of the same coin.. Tech9ne has remained independent.. but he does so much touring and stays on the road so much you would almost confuse him for a major artist.. Rich on the other hand has remained independent as well but even when he does shows normally it's locally or somewhere close to K.C. Tech9ne is a rappers rapper who is probably one of the rawest emcee's out, just a straight up spitter no cut no filler.. Rich is the Kansas City streets on wax... every hustler in KC has at least one Rich album unless they got some personal beef wit the nigga..

during the late 90's people in the town expected Rich to be nationally known by this time.. think jeezy or Gucci before hand.. but I think Rich got to a point where he would rather control his own destiny and make money hand over fist rather than signing to a major or anyone else.. but that has kept him in the same spot but I think he's good with making his money and still being able to live a life outside the spotlight..

Tech9nes label strange music has had meetings with Rich to try and work out a business deal but the numbers weren't right..

Rich has his own label and brand - Major Factor Records - Whale Water - Whale Energy Drink - Clear 10 Vodka

Rich is always talking about whales or Whale-ing which means doing it big in a small area.. big fish in a small pond mindset..

Did this nigga have a song with Rick Ross...?

nah you might have him confused with another kc artist who did a song and vid with ross back in 08 called Mon E. G.

but Rich did have some issues with Rozay last summer.. Rozay was promoting his God Forgives album on 106th and they asked him something about success and he said one of Rich's old catch phrases he always uses "on the way to the top I don't wanna take the elevator, I'ma take the stairs to the top" - something Rich always says.. so Rich took issue with it but it didn't develop into nothing obviously.

K.C. is the bay areas second best fan base.

that's true j.t. the bigga figga helped produce Rich's first album "Getting a Grip" in 94 , back in the Get Low Playaz days.
