5th Letter- What are your thoughts on today's hip hop?

Peezy_Jenkins- Well I'm not gonna act like it's in the best place but I don't understand why people near my age just think it's totally dead or being ruined cuz of the young niggas, I try to b more like "let the young niggas have their wave" "this is cool in the proper setting" or "this shit not for me n trash but I see y they like it". I think if u strictly go by radio it may b dead but if u a real hip hop head u radio should be the last thing u go by anyway. I legit feel like there is something to whet the appetite for everyone out there if u really wanna find it but if I were to post about those artists on here well, *crickets*. n me personally its just a couple clicks to find em so it's not that hard. Sure there are lyricists I wish got more shine but whether they do or not ima still check. Oh yeah I just wanna say this. I know it comes off like I only like southern club music but nah lol. Yeah I do think certain sounds are played and I mean of course we all have our bias but It really doesn't matter where it's from to me if it sounds good, but I don't like when people act like there aren't any respectable artists in my region or act like they can separate songs by the audience or settings they were meant for, but now a days I try to avoid those arguments anyway lol

5th Letter- Speakng of that what is your take on people dissing the south?

Peezy_Jenkins- I think it's kinda weak to blame a whole region for a few artists u don't like, and also weak that folks act like they can't differentiate certain style songs from lyrical miracle shit just cuz they can't groove to it. That "the south killed hip hop" shit is tired, I mean well, why didn't any other region resuscitate it then? I like to say it's all hip hop but I see folks still act all snooty like the south ain't got nun to say so I b like "fuck it we country rap tunes sometimes" lol

5th Letter- How long have you been on the IC?

Peezy_Jenkins- Since about 2008

5th Letter- How did you discover the IC?

Peezy_Jenkins- Thru a former poster named legendary, I grew up with him, when I started attending ole miss I noticed he was on the ic and he showed me a couple hilarious threads, after that I started posting YouTube on the main page comments n slowly joined the ic. I remember shit like the f.p.c. to all the hackers causing hell to all the auto play videos fuckin up niggas desktops n shit lol

5th Letter- What are some of the craziest things you've seen on the IC?

Peezy_Jenkins- Probably the I heart Cali exposure and poor boom off top, also all the random choice hackings, n phishing that used to go on

5th Letter- What are some things you'd like to change about the IC?

Peezy_Jenkins- Hmm idk, the reason is probably a lost cause honestly, I'd probably get rid of blu, black thunder gee or shady team permanently they really add nothing but idiocy. I think the crew of mods is pretty decent but there are still a couple who let Their feelings get in the way imo. other than that n the fact it seems folks complain about the state of rap while also not even checking out new artists outside the radio, Ion think it's anything too too bad on here, I mainly go in cheap seats n ottb anyway still a decent past time after all these years

5th Letter- Expound on the Reason being a "lost cause"

Peezy_Jenkins- Too much focus on the things outside the music n mundane arguments in there, n I'm not saying I dont get caught in it but yeah. I don't see that changing anytime soon. I think a lotta folks claiming to b music heads in there aren't n care more about beef n pretending to b street oriented for Internet strangers

5th Letter- Who are some of your favorite and least favorite posters?

Peezy_Jenkins- I fool with the real #vegaslights crew, my niggas siqnih the trapper, back in white, ag, raw ace, shout out axel, cutler, mikey, and b cotton (that man stay having folks mad lol) mostly everyone else I may disagree with but no real problems

Ah least favorite, (I don't wanna argue about this but..) the freshman dude, gee(I refuse to read his posts), chi town, turfaholic, blu. Ion hate these guys I just find their views idiotic with all due respect, and some of them get mad at that n try to low blow my music as if I thought everyone in the world would like it lol. There's a few others I could name but they ain't really came at me lately so fuck it it's all good. Oh yeah, smokelahoma that dude the definition of an internet thug, I'm almost worried he's gonna legit get angry enough to stroke out over this ic shit

5th Letter- How did the collabo with Axel happen?

Peezy_Jenkins- Well back when the lil IC Rapper thing was "boomin" a lil bit a bunch of us connected on fb n Twitter, eventually ax hit me up about a collab, n from there mine n his part came together smoothly, I just brought up a beat already had n wanted to talk about us being on the rise, later down the line we redid our parts n siqnih n one of his boys hopped on, it's actually one of the songs I'm most proud of

5th Letter- Word association 2 words or less

5th Letter- Big K.R.I.T

Peezy_Jenkins- undervalued

5th Letter- Jeff Axel

Peezy_Jenkins- Unique individual

5th Letter- Gucci Mane

Peezy_Jenkins- Troubled genius

5th Letter- turfaholic

Peezy_Jenkins- Krayshawn lover

5th Letter- Any last words before we wrap up?

Peezy_Jenkins- Well this a cool lil series u got goin, preciate the interview

Dope interview. Mane, I used to be up in Starkville all the time. One of my homies went to school at state. He made music, as well. We'd be in this rinky dink ass studio, 20-30 hoes and niggas...one of the OG's used to always tell us this music sht is in the blood of a Sip nigga. So keep doing your thang, homie.

I feel you on that feeling of depression and hopelessness. I left my hometown (Gulfport), and moved out here to the A. Was getting wild down there, and wasn't much opportunity to prosper. Had to dip, but it's home and I'll always love it.

Funny I thought he did an interview already too...But I guess thats P Town.

Good interview though but question are you saying you wanna leave Mississippi but scared to?

Don't limit yourself you ain't getting any younger. Plus I'm sure you'll be happier leaving because it's hard to grow staying where you at.

Home is overrated and I bet if you left and came back to visit you'll say I'm glad I don't live here anymore. The pride can stay though
