5th Letter- How did you get into hip hop?

jazzybella- I'm really late to hip hop. I don't have a story of how it saved my life back in 92.

But I loved me some lil Wayne, not really his music just the way he looked I believe the Dedication mixtapes were the first time I actually listened and since then I followed him like stripper when she spot a rapper in the building. Gosh, I even had my homegirl burn all the squad up tapes smh it was bad. And then that faithful summer of 2005...some chubby nigga out of Atlanta dropped TM101 and I've been an advent listener ever since. So credit to them boys I guess

5th Letter- What did you listen to before you got into hip hop?

jazzybella- NSYNC, Brittany Spears, B2K, Bow Wow....you know the pop music lol

5th Letter- Who are your favorite and least rappers?

jazzybella- Jeezy, Cole, Wayne, Fab(Soul Tapes are dope) Chance, TI (KING album is my fave), and a host of others.I don't really have a least fave rapper....its just some artist I just don't listen to.

5th Letter- What are some of your favorite albums?

jazzybella- TM 101, Recession, KING, Paper Trails, Forest Hill Drive, Carter 2, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico, Dusty, GKMC, Still Brazy, 808s & Heartbreaks, Reasonable Doubt (saw the 20th concert and fell in love instantly), DS2

Ciliva Demo, So Far Gone, NWTS. And a bunch others I can't think of at the moment. *these are albums I know their lyrics by heart....I can quote them referencing real life situations or if I hear their beat....

5th Letter- What are some examples where the songs reflects your real life situations?

jazzybella- That whole FHD reflects my life right now....knowing it's bigger than you....understanding your struggle will be the most beautiful and genuine moments of your life. That's why I love Jermaine, he gets it.

Jeezy's motivational dripped lyrics go beyond the typical drug dealer anthems if you're listening past the dj drama laced beats. To wake up every morning knowing that every decision you make is place you where you can feed your family or not is real. Jeezy's lyrics ring true to anyone, in any situation.

5th Letter- What are your thoughts on today's hip hop?

jazzybella- It's cool, everybody's having their wave...regular niggas are getting put on, the cute dances for the kids, etc.....but because everyone can make a catchy song, the market is getting over saturated.

5th Letter- How did you discover the IC?

jazzybella- Searching for music blogs and stumbled upon it

5th Letter- Was there something you were looking for specifically?

jazzybella- Not really, just browsing. I lurked the community for a few years until I made an account. I enjoy posting in here and Cheapseats....don't really venture off atleast I'm tagged in another section. Everyone's cool so I don't have fave posters or worst posters. Shout out to everyone I speak to outside of the IC Ive developed some great friendships with a few posters offline

5th Letter- What were your early memories of the IC?

jazzybella- I think the earliest is I remember when Fiat graduated and stop posting, he was soooo weird. When Charlie exposed that poster, can't think of his name but that was hilarious. Wasn't he like faking a sickness or something. The poster who was dating the tranny....the sex thing in Texas between three posters.

5th Letter- What are some things you'd like to change about the IC?

jazzybella- I wish more females could post in the powder room without the trolls of male posters. Its so many male dominant threads, there's no where for the ladies to go.

5th Letter- I know you're active in CYOL what exactly is that about?

jazzybella- Creating your own music label. Every player gets 500 mil, the host spends days auction off artists by mil increments. Next is the draft, where artist that don't get drafted can be picked up to complete their artist rosters. The last portion of the game, players create albums using collabs from other players as well as their own artists. They compete with each other and based off the judges comments, players advance until one person is named CYOL champion, the player who've created the most profitable and cohesive label.

5th Letter- Youre also one of the few women that post in the Reason and Cheapseats, even though you take heat in the CS with the Hawks. What's keeps you going back when most women don't post in those sections.

jazzybella- Because men always feel they're experts on those subjects, I post because I enjoy sports and hip hop and can give great feedback

5th Letter- Are you and Beta cordial now after what happened?

jazzybella- no comment

5th Letter- How you think the Hawks gonna do this year?

jazzybella- We're going to suck this year honestly, those trades from last season weren't good at all....we lost key players and honestly even picking up Dwight isn't gonna place us as Playoff contenders this year. But I'm still a fan.....no matter what.

5th Letter- Word association 2 words or less.

jazzybella- my husband

Best ending to an interview yet.

Nice interview. Refreshing female perspective. @jazzybella you should do a thread on your experiences at work. It'd do numbers I'm sure. I used to be a Lead RC a youth treatment facility in college so I got a few stories of my own.
