naa....the overtime rules are perfect, yea its a gamble with the coin toss...but the road team gets to make the call (heads or tails)......and after that it comes down to DEFENSE, if the team that doesnt get the ball first in OT wants to win the game they have to defend and its fair...there is a 50/50 chance for each team to get the ball there is no extra advantage, the same way a team who gets the ball first can throw a long pass for a TD to end the game...the defense can intercept a pass and take it the other way, or cause a fumble and take it the other way

If that was the case then the Saints would have had less points...Saints D forced 5 turnovers...it wasn't like they was fumbling on purpose for no reason...saints were pulling and poking at anyone running with the ball.

I was reading an article on ESPN that had a good idea. Keep the coin toss...that's fine. But the first team to 6 points wins. That way 1 FG, won't end it all. And the only way the other team doesn't get the ball is if they give up a TD on the opening drive (which u just gotta blame the defense for that). Also, if one team gets a FG and the other doesn't by the time the 15 minutes the team up by 3 can still win.
