Let the public competition begin.

Red Cafe can slither his way out of this one though b/c he never said he himself was the king.

I like what Pap said in terms of being nice over money/numbers. Not that it means he's the nicest but I like his viewpoint.

This whole argument can probably light a fire under some of these NY artists to throw out some spirited bars.

Who knows though...

I don't understand why people WANT Papoose to put out an album. As a matter of fact wtf is so good about Papoose? This nigga did Alphabet Slaughter and niggaz was acting like he dropped the holy grail of songs. He didn't say a thing through the whole song man wtf.

Spitting barz is neva gonna b an issue 4 the majority of NY rappers, the west breed gangbangers, the south breed club hoppers, we breed lyricists ....

the issue is that NY don't support they own artists, 50 had to go out west, nikki dpwn south, jay had to go out west n down south...

n about Pap, pap is the nicest lyricts in the game ...pap is up their with common, nas, kane, rakim, n so forth... lyricallly the boy is of a different clothe...

nigga was spitting some heavy mathematics just now...

I disagree. His delivery doesn't consistently support the impact of his bars like those you mentioned. So often it's just lines upon lines.

I always thought Pap was nice, but being the king of New York is nothing to be proud of and it has almost nothing at all to do with talent... ever!!! The alleged kings of NY before were Biggie & Jay-Z, two cats who get credit for bringing NY to fame, but in all honesty they've done nothing for NY. They both came up in a class of elite rappers who were better then them who did more to build up NY to fame than these 2 ever did. Pap shouldn't even want that crown, he shouldn't even acknowledge it.

Sidenote: the South should do the same. T.I. is talented but King of The South? HELL NO. He's not even the best to come out of Georgia... by any standard - numbers, wins, or talent. This is proof once again that these pseudo-titles have no value.

i always thought pap was nice lyrically, but my thing with him has always been, hes not good at making songs with structure. I think big L went through what pap is going through as though its hard for them to put together songs. I remember debating with my homie back in the day when pap was just about to sign that big deal, and my homie said pap is going to be a star smh. I told him, no hes not. We went back and forth on the topic, but like i told him, pap cant make songs and that will be the reason why he wont succeed in the game. My homie swore up and down that pap could make songs, and could switch it up to the commercial side of the game and make hit tracks. i said hell no he cant, pap is not a artist, hes just a rapper. On a side note, red cafe has the worst rapper name in the game, and pap rapper name is lame as well. WTF is a red cafe?

This is the mentality that holds regions back. They think that it's ok to excell at one thing. How ignorant.

The West can't breed what the West didn't start. They don't have a monopoly on gangs, as there were street gangs in the Midwest before them and there were bound to be gangs in the East and South with or without Hollywood.

The South as of 2011 has more lyricists than any region outside of the Midwest. Big Boi, Andre 3000, Jay Electronica, J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., the list is insane. The South has coons like all other regions, but they have just as many thinkers. And many of the people you THINK are dumb are smarter than you care to know.

New York breeding lyricists? This ain't the 90's. In 2011, being a lyricist and being a rapper are two different things. Papoose is a rapper. Camron is a rapper. French Montana is a rapper. The NY days of Rakim, Jay-Z, Nas, Wu-Tang, Biggie, etc are far behind us.

lol you got some nerve talkin that bullshit

New York had to distort the meaning of lyricism for them to start thinking they were lyrical. New York having more lyricists than other regions is pure laughter. New York got a bunch of Eminem's people just putting meaningless words together.
