Yeah my nigga.I got you but most of the complaints are the material type.``Damn we black people are poor``.Niggas don´t even know what poor is.Go to the favelas to see what they´re like.African Americans complain too much.

I was wondering when Afro Brasilians were gonna start poppin' shit like the Somali's, Nigerians, Dominicans & some Zoes have.

Clean up your own backyard before you criticize ours. It's way more of y'all than us and your situation is still ten times worse.

Yall got work to do just like me. But don't come over here trying to eat off of my lane that we paved for u and pop shit at that same time. And if you do want to do that be prepared.

Agh. Too many people to respond to. So I will simply say this.
Capitalism DOES ensure that there will always be a bottom 20%, however, stats from the past few decades years show that for the vast majority those who are originally in the bottom 20 don't stay there.
People can achieve great things, and there is no 100% insurmountable boundary.

Ill end with this.
No one said you were entitled to an easy life, just that life can be worth the effort.
It's up to you to figure out how to get to where you want to be despite the difficulties of your environment.

(As far as my Mom is concerned. She came to this country facing the same prejudices that faced other Blacks, plus prejudice FROM blacks already here. Minus the social programs provided in Canada because during the worst of it, she wasn't a citizen. Meaning that for 3 of the four years she was in University she had to pay international student fees while being dead broke and divorced with a small child. She still made it work.)

But Somali's still cant get Somalia right because they are at war with each other and the same applies to the greater region (Eritrea vs. Ethiopia, Northern Sudan vs. Southern Sudan, Civil war in Egypt, etc. etc.)

You are but a small % of what's really going just like the conflict between African Americans and White Supremacy's over-lording above it all.

We have a lot more battles to fight which consist of inside and outside oppressive forces.

man, some people just clowns....they like an audience.. their complaints ain't valid...

yea life is hard...shit it's a constant struggle.. but there are far too many people who are focused, and determined to make it through, and who could actually benefit from others to keep paying attention to these clowns who just wanna cause a scene...

when take away their audience, a lotta things become a lot clearer...

i honestly beleive the best way to get past ignorance..is to not entertain it

It doesn't matter which side of the fence you're on because I've seen the political corruption first hand and the impending results of that from African Americans AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICANS.

Cut us off if you want, but we will see you again when the pipeline and underground railroad is finished.

Right, cause ignoring the problem is always the most affective solution.
I get your point but I don't see how not facing this battle head on will change anything for the better. Isn't that already happening? Instead of turning backs how about coming harder with a productive and constructive method?

How is complaining about anything going to bring forth any kind of positivity? Either change something or change your attitude.

What he said is right though, it seems blacks from other parts of the diaspora and from the continent, constantly chose to shit on African Americans like you are doing here, yet when you ask them about their own countries and why blacks aren't doing well over there they come up with many of the same excuses they criticize African Americans for using, we don't gain anything from being divisive amongst each other, the same predicaments that Afro Brazilians faced and still face in Brazil causing them to be impoverished in that part of the world is the same shit African Americans have faced and still face in North America.

the whole thing is it don't matter how bad you're doing o how hard you're struglging..

if you're putting forth an honest effort, and hold yourself responsbile and accountable for your progress... then none of this applies to you....

my critiques are targetd for the foolish, ignorant and lazy who like to make excuses for their position....

because instead of wasting energy on those who have no desire for progress....that same energy can be helping those who reach out to move forward...

you can't move in two directions at the same time....

think of it like a boat...

you can reach out a hand to help those who are trying to get in the boat...and that's cool....

but if you jump in the water to try and save someone who is very alive.... but just comfortable floating on their back just cuz their loud and screaming.. .....both people can be lost....

i feel like we're losing far too many people jumping in after those who aren't even trying to swim in the first place....

that's the problem as i see it....

In that sense I feel you as you can only help those who want to help themselves. At the same time you have to consider that not everyone who is "lost" has reached that point by their own doing. Everyone is so quick to judge and label the other yet who ever really asks the question as to "why"? They didn't get there alone or perhaps that was the exact problem, solitude. A solid support system is so important and beneficial and unfortunately it is our actions yesterday and today which have the potential to keep so many from feeling that they can even reach their level of greatness but we fail to realize how we influence and affect others, especially today's youths.

"Today's generation is screwed." Well, how did that happen? Accountability anyone? We are getting a bit further into it and essentially it does go back to mothers being forced to raise "dumb" children by the prohibiting of educating and learning. And just like traditional values won't just disappear in modern times, that won't change just because now we have some rights. It isn't just about race or material things as mentioned previously.

You have to allow people to be who they are and live the way they choose to. However, that doesn't mean one should feel free to sit here, judge and be counterproductive.

Oh I got their back in real life. Haitians, Panamanians & West Indians have assimilated very well into African America, and the African Immigrants are moving along at a steady pace (our relationship is complex.) I have South Africans in my family but there is tension between African Immigrants and African Americans at the Universities due to a multitude of issues. And Nigerian fraud is still a problem that we have to stay prepared for (419 WHAT UP DOE!!!)

Anyway, most of the shit that other Africans talk about us is done in their homeland & when over here, on the internet or in the privacy of one's home.

Well straiten it out bro.

i feel you, to be honest i feel alot os this shit is overblown... i grew up around all kinds of black people and i experienced very little of this tension....we must realize people say the darnedest thing in the heat of the moment(which is why i dont take alot of this shit said on the internet seriously)....then again i might see shit differently then you do

Well it just depends on where I'm at. When I'm in Bronx or Manhattan, yeah it's cool. You can go to the Pizza spot and kick with blacks form everywhere or go to the tenement with the Ricans because we live together all the time over there. In Michigan? Not so much (Minus the Ricans because they're with us everywhere in the states.)

The tension is natural and has occurred between whites as well (Dutch vs. English, English vs. Irish, Irish vs. Italians) until the assimilation process is complete. The Tri State is just further along than everyone else and always has been.

"A study by Michael Cox and Richard Alm of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas showed that of the bottom fifth of income earners in 1975, only 5 percent were still poor 16 years later. Less than 1 percent remained in the bottom fifth for the entire 16 years. Thirty percent rose from the bottom fifth to the top fifth. In sum, few people remain at subsistence level. There are ways out of poverty for most."

This is a study involving the poorest of the poorest. Not the bottom 20, but the bottom 5.

Lol keep believing that.
