The former Oklahoma City Police Department officer found guilty of rape and sexual assault is on suicide watch at the Oklahoma County Jail.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Holtzclaw is on suicide watch. Members of the jail staff will be monitoring Holtzclaw's cell for 24 hours.

Holtzclaw was found guilty on 18 of 36 charges Thursday evening, including first degree rape, sexual battery and indecent exposure. His official sentencing has been set for Jan. 21, 2016.

Cases like this is the reason I'm a Black feminist. These women felt no one would believe their story because they were black women; it was true, many people did not believe their stories because they couldn't believe a white man would even do something such as this, let alone be attracted to a black woman, even though it appears he was doing it more for control. Reading the comments on some of the major news sites, and even on Facebook is disgusting. White women making comments siding with this monster, even some black men coming to he defense of this white man.

It's just sad all around, and just continues to project the little worth their is for black women. We are forced into silence.
