Why don't you think he has it, and what is it that he don't have????? Can he build it, grow it, buy it.....or is he just shit out of luck?

star quality

Name some rappers that don't have star quality in your opinion but can still make great music......

The IT factor is different for everybody.

For BEP it was Fergie. For 50 Cent it was the ability to sing and catch bullets. For Wycleff it was the ability to emulate Bob Marley.

Making good music only gets you so far, after that you need something that will make you stand out from the 5 million other rappers tryna make it.

You can apply it to everyday life. It something that stands out about you or you as an artist to make ppl grasp to your music. Like with 2pac for example outside of his story and his voice in his music and that "street rapper look" he had that personality. I mean you can just watch a Pac interview and become a fan of his and stick with him and his music.

To make it easier ask yourself, what makes you, I and ppl all around the world like Snoop even tho he been fell off for years musically?

The "it" factor is like the matrix. It cant be explained. Its just something that certain people have. Like an ultimate charisma.

star quality

^^^^ Star quality is more than just rapping ability. It is a combination of charisma, presence, and performance ability. Without it, 2Pac wouldn't even be considered top 20.

Rappers with more star quality than talent:

2Pac

DMX

Lil Wayne

Nicki Minaj

50 Cent

Kanye West

Rappers with more talent than star quality:

Joe Budden

Nas

Lupe Fiasco

Charles Hamilton

If Nas had ANY type of charisma, he'd be undisputed GOAT

Mass appeal.

So if a rapper can't cross over into other markets that means he don't have the it factor? Lil b for example, some say he has the it factor working for him, all I see is a attention whore......so do you think rappers like mos def whom most would say don't have the it factor should start getting there attention whore on? Maybe start out on mediatakeout then move on up to tmz to get that cross over media.....

I would say that Lil' B has the "it" factor as an ENTERTAINER and not as a RAPPER/MC/MUSICIAN. The majority doesn't look for Lil' B's music or for the lyrics in his music or whatever it's mostly cuz of the entertainment he brings. Ppl like to laugh at the outrageous shit he says/does not necessarely listen to his music cuz if you really dig deep Lil' B is really a real hip-hop head he just switched up to become more famous i guess.

The "IT" factor is that special thing that can not really be defined or described but I will try. Tupac had "IT", Biggie had "IT", Bob Marley had "IT", Nirvana had "IT". It's that special thing that separates the Legends from the regular artist. Michael Jackson had "IT" and then some. His sister Janet Has "IT". Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have "IT". Bruce Lee and Hendrix had "IT". To me it's when the stars alined and that person's talents are undeniable. Very few rappers ever had the "IT" factor. But the ones who did, they all had successful careers.
