I won't be paying to see this.

At the very least, it doesn't look funny.

At the worst, it's stereotyping Black people and trivializing real race issues.

I rather see a non-comedy talking about the numerous types of real racism going on in America.

There's hundreds of em...from any decade you can choose from. Many are indie and/or, quite frankly, boring. How many have you seen?

There's more than 1 way to skin a cat

I completely forgot about this, it was in the signature/fund raising process when I heard about it a while back. I can't wait to check it out.

It seems like it has some potential, although the more it lives up to its potential the more likely whites will attach labels like "controversial" on it. Which will probably make me like it even more honestly. Whites hate being reminded of their racism.

Stereotyping?

Gotta see the film to say that

I love the trailer

Seems like new type of Hollywood Shuffle with a twist

It also reminds me of Bamboozled

I think I read an article about this movie where they shitted on Bamboozled,I didn't agree

I think Bamboozled is a great movie and ppl fear it

Hate to derail the thread ...

But yea while i like the idea of Bamboozled it was poorly executed...

damon wayans was miscast.. and his character's accent was too over the top

The camera work was kinda shaky

I didn't like the ending either

And really the most poignant moment was during the closing montage of old movie scenes of white entertainers dressing in blackface, one actor was putting on his makeup and said :

"this stuff is hard to put on, and take off. [looks at black assistant's skin] you know, you're lucky."

that one five-second bit had more insight into race relations in america than any other scene in the movie

Yea I finally got to see Bamboozled Saturday & That part at the end was some powerful stuff.

When he told the black dude he was Lucky it hit me.

& yeah Damon Wayans was over the top with that accent.

To be honest, this movie looks hilarious. I love a good satire movie every now and then. If you can't take a joke, stay at home.
