I think ever since he won the national championship in 02 he thought thinks that he has to win with veteran, scrappy teams instead of nba prospects that might leave early. It doesnt work and we get to see people that grew up around the corner from UMD play at places like Texas, Uconn and Kansas State

yeah i know its just crazy when you start reading off the names of players from the DMV and you like damn aint NONE of these niggas went to maryland. Not one. Basketball is a crazy thing. especially recruiting. A good school can catapult you to a draft pick or at least a free agent deal. Maryland and /or Gary williams aint putting dudes in the league like that and sometimes you want to leave the roost. But they have been saying that it is his last season every year. He always pull one out in the last quarter.

Im gonna leave it up for a Cali native to create their starting 5 but it looks like they have the most current NBA players and can have a nasty starting 5. NY is surprisingly weak btw

NY ball is overrated imo. People always talk about NYC players but real talk PG County alone got better ballers than NYC. Yeah Cali is such a large state with such a large population that they have to have a sick squad.
