The demo for "Underground" on there is tuff too

but the version on "Roots" is my shit

the overall concept of the track was dope!

^such uplifting lyrics on that track, that song is all about unity, every shade of BLACK folk together as one people

His subject matter is what makes him stand out as one of the greats, along with his production skills

i been listening to "Diamond In The Back" for years thinking that was Curtis then i read on the

comment section on youtube, sumbody said that aint even Curtis song or him singing on there

so i looked it up and its by this cat named william de vaughn... smh all these years i thought that

was curtis and i aint even know it, dude jacked the shit out his style tho cause he sound just like him
 
Friday night 3am my newborn son wouldn't go to sleep so i thru on Curtis Never Say You Cant Survive album

No joke it calmed my son he stopped crying and was KO'd by 3rd track. I stayed holding him in my arms on the couch to finish off the album tho. Great album.

Yeah i read somewhere he recorded his entire last album in bed and only could record a line or 2 @ the most before losing his breath
