I guess with you can make a case for Hunger For More if you look it at based on the perception and not what it sold. A lot of people bought it because 50 had blown up and G-Unit was popular at the time. Yeah he sold 2 million, but that album is hardly ever mentioned. Illmatic just went platinum a few years ago, but it's one of if not the most most revered album in Hip Hop history. The way people talk about that album you would've sworn it was multi-platinum.

Exactly, i'm not talking about just record sales, and to be honest with you the album would've sold regardless but that's when the whole G-unit thing was huge at the time. But people don't mention this album as much as they should. Given there are hundreds of albums better than it, hell yea. But it still was a really good cd and Banks did a good job with it. I mean look, Encore sold what, like 11 mill worldwide. But everyone knows that shit was not good at all. Just perception that's all. Recognition and respect is more important to me than record sales.
