take a band like nirvana that became very popular, but certainly would not be classified as pop music.

Niggas act like Blueprint 3 was that bad...the shit was hot to me & to just about everybody else I know. Even people who hate him gave him props on this CD. He still spittin, people calling it pop because he selling records and reaching the masses. It's still hip hop/rap..he not on no Kanye singing/Wayne rock shit. He still spitting so it's still in the genre. His songs get played on all stations and that's a great thing for hip hop!
