Men do you find it common for good looking women to be vapid?

I personally say no, not true in general. I'd say there disparity between good looking women and ugly women, in terms of being vapid, isn't really that great.

Attractive women that are gassed up all the time as 'attractive' tend to become pompous and egotistical in their attitudes with other people more especially males

However this is nothing on their intelligence as individuals. There's smart fine women and there's dumb fine women..

In my own personal experience, there has been a bit of an inverse relationship between a woman's beauty and not just her intelligence, but her general awareness, how interesting she is, etc..

Sure, there have been plenty of outliers. But generally, to me, 7-8's have been more engaged, interesting, funny, well-rounded, motivated, etc than 9-10's.

But that's just me.

That aside, this stereotype does seem to have a lot of variables to it. While we have some clever ladies on the forum, not all women post on forums or consume information as much as our female posters do. Makes me think maybe it has something to do with being attractive + another feature

I can't say I do not know a good amount of attractive women who are very unknowledgeable though

Hell nah, most of the good looking women I know are intelligent, cool as hell and some even play video games from time to time *shrugs*. You just got to step outside yourself and the box and you will find them too. Some chicks that are fine are ditsy, some are very intelligent. Kai, Pico (when she wants to be), MissK, topoftheworld, Six are intelligent, beautiful & have a good sense of humor. Meanwhile kat and Aqua are birds/air heads. It varies but you should never judge a book by it's cover until you've read it.

I find most people cheat themselves out of what could be potentially good opportunities out of their own insecurities and pre-conceived notions they've manufactured in their minds.

i think nurture more than anything affects your outlook on intelligence and whether or not developing intellectually is something you'd consider critical to developing a personality

i see it even in my own family, my parents were always drilling into us how important knowledge was. we had intellectual discussion around the dinner table, we had mandatory reading etc. but my cousins never had any of that and while i think we're all pretty cute, they are both dumb as hell tho

i don't think this is a solely women problem either, i have run into a lot of men that wouldn't be considered smart in the least. america seems to have a thing for anti-intellectualism these days, i don't like it
