I actually liked the live version of this album better, but still an overall solid effort.

I agree that the album has a solange st. hadley feel to it but this is actually worse.I'm really not feeling Melanie's album personally.

I enjoy Sol-Angel a lot more than the Bridge. Hopefully she will have better direction on her next effort, something that feels a little more personal.

The Sol-Angel album was much better then this. The Bridge just felt like bland, piss poor pastiches of other music. As soon as it went on my MP3 player when it first leaked I deleted it, never really liked it considering how much I was looking forward to it

I'd have to agree and say Solange's album was better. She should have just went the Dream/Tricky Stewart/Polo/Timbaland route.

The album is just ok. The only songs i listen to are:

You stopped my Heart
Teach Him
Sad Song
It Kills Me

The other tracks I could care less for...

Thought I was the only one not feeling the album, my girl loves it, and so do a couple other people I know, the only songs I really liked were It Kills Me, Give It To Me Right, and Sad Songs.

I seen her perform tho, she can really sing, so I want to hear another album from her before I write her off.

I definitely plan to give her another shot. I wonder if some of the songs on the Bridge sound better live. She has such a dope voice that I feel like I would enjoy some of the songs I'm not really feeling, performed live.

I think it's a really good r&b female debut album. We don't get many of those these days...I think some ppl aren't feelin it because the sound is kind of all over the place, but I love it.

Can't say this album was what I thought it would be based on 'It Kills Me'. I didn't like or dislike it really, because of the number of tracks I liked vs. the number I didn't like. I think that kinda old school flair didn't work for her. Certainly not on the level of say, Raphael Saadiq's album. Her voice is good though, so I will check for her next project. Hopefully it will be better and more cohesive.

The tracks I liked were:

Ay Yo

Walk On By (My fave!)

You Stop My Heart

It Kills Me
