Something that I've expressed interest in or something that reflects one of my interests.

my sisters birthday is coming up and I usually get her a card and some money. I don't want to be cheap this year. what would be a nice gift to get her. I posted in theis thread because I need a womans perspective. I would have posted in the g & s but I don't want niggas clowning and derailing the thread.

I ain't a chick, but I just got my sisters a spa day and they loved that shit. Only thing you have to worry about with that is hairy Turkish dudes with carpets on they back smh

I like that one, especially if it's a gift card to a bookstore. The spa day also sounds like something some people would enjoy.

For some reason I've always liked the idea of giving someone a bar of dark chocolate with a bottle of red wine and maybe a mix cd to go with it (if other people still listen to cds or maybe an ipod with some music on it - I've never had an ipod or any of the I_things, though).

For someone else (I wouldn't do this personally), a more personal gift could be a poem, a song, a painting or drawing, a story or some form of art that they themselves composed. Some more ideas might come to me later.
