He was Busta Rhymes good in his prime, good for 16's bars and features but has never made that great albums to me. Plus their animation takes alot away from them imo.

I thought Luda had some good joints and he even had a hit single last year with that "My Chicks Bad" joint. He was just too comedic and his flow didn't change much. With all that gangsta shit abound, you would think that wasn't a bad thing but he came across kinda corny at times. I remember hearing Luda for the first time on Timbaland first album back in 98. The Fat Rabbit track. He did make solid albums though. I had him in the same lane as Red Man but red man got grimey when he wasn't playing around.

Ludacris was elite. He didn't just shine on his singles, as his album cuts were equally impressive... at least his first 3 albums. He just got caught up in trying too hard to do what once came easy to him. He and/or Joe Budden would've been good additions to Rocafella or G-Unit.

i think in an authentic battle jay would get murked...on the real only thing jay got over luda imo is money and to me when it comes to hiphop $ is more symbolism than an actual attribute when it comes to spitting.
