Funny cah Jay's erm let's call it 'spoken word' flow bothered me way more on this than 4:44.

I don't think it's as good as the IC does but it has some dope tracks

What songs were this spoken word flow used on ?

Look... mind state of a gangster from the 40's

Meets the business mind of Motown's Berry Gordy

Turned crack rock into a chain of 40/40's

Sorry my jewelry’s so gaudy

Slid into the party with my new pair of Mauris

America, meet the gangster Shawn Corey

Hey young world, wanna hear a story?

Close your eyes and you can pretend you're me

I keep trying to keep that album out of being a classic but I might have to just give in becuz it's hard to argue against it

Great (concept) album.

Party Life and Say Hello were/are my shit!!

Party life (as a matter of fact the whole album) reminds me of my last year of college. Most importantly of an Ex girlfriend who was a big Jay-Z fan. Great times!

Sweet is the worst offender but Say Hello and Blue Magic have it too.

The end of "Jigga" and his last great album. Could low key consider this Vol. 4

As far as I'm concerned nothing in his catalogue past it even exists. American Dreamin is one of the best rap songs of the past decade and Pray is just vivid as fuck. Dope way to set off an album.

The title track itself is still in rotation for me

That American dreaming song had me in a daze everytime I put it on for like a month. Nothing like when jay is fully in the pocket song/flow wise. Shit just comes off smooth n effortless when he in the zone

Great way to open a song up

Not sure if it's underrated, hip hop heads tend to give this album it's proper respect. I still don't know who the fuck thought it was a good idea to put that dumbass "hello brooklyn" song on there. Probably top 10 misplaced songs on a album, any genre. Hands down. The album is top heavy, minus that one song. Pray, American dreaming, no hook, roc boys
