Ja Rule had the better production. He was better at writing songs and hooks. I didn't care for his singing but some of his hits were kinda catchy.
Canibus was a beast when he first came out but got progressively worse with every album. the last album from Bis that I heard all the way through was For Whom The beat Tolls which I wasn't feeling. Too many long words.

To me, Ja Rule is just a rapper. Canibus fell way off, but he was a MC at some point in his career. Canibus takes this.

I've never been to a club and heard a Canibus song. But I've been to plenty of clubs and heard Ja Rule songs. Ja Rule made radio friendly music that people dance to in nightclubs.
