yeah it seems like something had to be left out of the story because that does seem a bit over the top for grabbin some ass. Granted she's a minor and it's fucked up to do that but even just 2 years seems kinda long if all he did was squeeze it. Maybe they made the minimum years 2 because he grabbed it with both hands. IDK...i can't call it

As for the sentence, I've seen murderers get a slap on the wrist and sentenced for one year and out in 8 months......either way the story goes, there is no justice.

The former coach is accused of making inappropriate statements and fondling the Fraser High School student on numerous occasions and having sex with her at a motel in July 2009.

In exchange for his plea, additional counts of first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct and accosting a minor for immoral purposes were dismissed. Druzinski said she did consider those allegations when imposing Boyd's prison sentence.

Previously, attorneys had negotiated a possible penalty of one year in Macomb County Jail. Those guidelines were amended following a probation department review.

Boyd's attorney, Randy Secontine argued the offenses his client was not convicted of should not play a role in his sentence. But even though Boyd was ordered to prison and for a longer term he declined to withdraw the plea.

"He's extremely remorseful," Secontine told the judge. "He does not want to put the complaining witness through a trial."

The victim, now 17, appeared in court today with her parents. She declined to make a statement.

Boyd became emotional when he addressed the court.

"I'm sorry that I'm standing before you right now for actions that took place with me," he told Druzinski. "I know…God still has something good for me after all of this is over."

Assistant prosecutor Kathleen Beard said the victim and her family are pleased with the outcome.

"She wants to put this behind her and move on with her life," she said. "She's ready to be finished with this case."

Boyd is also charged in a separate criminal sexual involving similar allegations in Oakland County Circuit Court

This story kinda doesnt make sense. If you have a 1st and 2nd degree assualt and you have evidence of statutory rape, then y wud they drop all 3 charges to get a fondling conviction. Plus since when did fondling get you 2-15? And a side-note to that, when in the hell did they start ranging sentences 2-15? Iv seen 2-5 or 10-15 but 2-15? Unless they meant 15 all suspended but 2.
