I told y'all when workout first dropped that it had potential to be a hit. I didn't think it would have been a top 40 hit though.

I still don't hear it or anybody talking bout except here. glad it did well on the charts. but it's still not a hit to me b/c i never hear it. they play that junt with trey songs though. shit is still wack anyway you slice it

quick question. Maybe it's just me. but on breakdown when the beat breaks down and the keys come in does that shit remind anybody else of the keys at the beginning of the straight up menace beat.

Here in DC at the clubs with black folks that shit gets no play. they do play that trey songz track, but work out has never been in rotation around here. Maybe it's the white folks that love it more. I got a few spots that i hit that have mixed crowds but they aren't really clubs per se but more of a lounge. When I go out to a club club it's pretty much all black folks(minus some asians and latinos) at the clubs. That's probably why you hear it more and I don't.

Is cole dropping anymore singles for this album

i rarely hear it. I've actually been bumping the radio more and more b/c i can't listen to my cd's for real when my daughter is riding with me. Our radio stations can't stop playing beyonce every 3 minutes

Exactly I cant even picture work out being played in a dc club. Imagine work out being played right after House Party everybody would just stop dancing like wtf? Both his singles sound out dated and cheesy especially cant get enough wit those ladies screamin yea yea yea in the hook. And that " thats the hook right there" is a real lack of effort on his part. Dude has potential he could of at least dropped one single wit substance instead of two bulls*** singles back 2 back. I really dont like work out.....Paula Abdul really????????????i dont care if its number one on the charts its beyond wack!

How did Who Dat do, yeah exactly! Niggas always screaming that substance/real rap fucking nonsense then when the artist brick, ya'll laugh at them. The radio ain't never gonna play a track like Lights Please or Lost Ones, why don't you niggas get that shit.

I never understood why people were saying J Cole went #1 without a hit song, "Work Out" has been climbing up the charts every since it dropped. Like someone said, it's top 15 single now, that's a hit song period. It's also Gold as someone mentioned. Honestly though he can thank Paula Abdul cause "Straight up" was a #1 hit in the 80's so the hook is very catchy and people remember it.

"Work Out" was nowhere to be seen on the billboards a couple of months ago. I remember Killa Cham having a field day talking shit about how quickly it was falling

*thinks back to when I went to see J.Cole in Austin, he said "what yall wanna hear", I said "not that workout shit*. You should've seen the way the crowd looked @ me, I swear the whole damn place was silent just long enough to hear me say that..... smdh. I actually don't mind the song now. I'm still pissed of @ him hyping up a kanye sample and me thinking I was gonna hear some epic shit and then I heard workout. Ahh well props on his success he deserves it.
