quick question. Maybe it's just me. but on breakdown when the beat breaks down and the keys come in does that shit remind anybody else of the keys at the beginning of the straight up menace beat.

Maybe it's the white folks that love it more. I got a few spots that i hit that have mixed crowds but they aren't really clubs per se but more of a lounge. When I go out to a club club it's pretty much all black folks(minus some asians and latinos) at the clubs. That's probably why you hear it more and I don't.
Is cole dropping anymore singles for this album
clairascanbe;3952725 said:Exactly I cant even picture work out being played in a dc club. Imagine work out being played right after House Party everybody would just stop dancing like wtf? Both his singles sound out dated and cheesy especially cant get enough wit those ladies screamin yea yea yea in the hook. And that " thats the hook right there" is a real lack of effort on his part. Dude has potential he could of at least dropped one single wit substance instead of two bulls*** singles back 2 back. I really dont like work out.....Paula Abdul really????????????i dont care if its number one on the charts its beyond wack!
rapmastermind;3955613 said:I never understood why people were saying J Cole went #1 without a hit song, "Work Out" has been climbing up the charts every since it dropped. Like someone said, it's top 15 single now, that's a hit song period. It's also Gold as someone mentioned. Honestly though he can thank Paula Abdul cause "Straight up" was a #1 hit in the 80's so the hook is very catchy and people remember it.
