Well Hallie's Song was more about his daughter and Rock Bottom... that's a throwback so he was pretty much rapping about what he was actually going through being a part of the lower class working poor. But Beautiful is a straight up "I'm rich as fuck and people kiss my ass all day please feel sorry for me" song

I like some old Eminem songs but I just didn't like his new cd but to each his own. I think the song Beautiful was more about his journey through the depths of addiction on pain killers than anything else. This is my favorite Eminem song. You can tell by some of the shit he says that he was broke as hell back then when he wrote this... "Tired of having to borrow a dollar for gas to start my Monte Carlo"

a story about his struggles, so what, everyone has 'em. The way he executed it was great.

What is it? First, there's no good "stories" in hip hop, then a serious song out of Em and a story about himself and drugs and it becomes a complaining thread. Jeez.

I don't make shock threads. I genuinely dislike this song. His flow was corny and annoying. I was turned off by the first line "I'm just so fuckin depressed..." and the only thing worse than all of that was that long drawn out hook.
