the bible needs people to feel guilty, or like they owe something, so his crucifixion is a good reason for people to believe that they live for a man who supposedly sacrificed himself because he loves you. and if you don't accept this "love" then that ass will burn forever. sounds lovely.

sounds fair, sounds reasonable; it's His Heaven to do with it, as he pleases. So if you choose not believe, in him, then you fairly go where you deserve to burn for eternity...

well i choose not to, guess i'll just take that risk.

unfortunately my friend, I'm prrrrrrrretty sure you won't have much of a choice but to remember that...constantly!

word, i'm sure that there are a few others who believe this just like you. Checked my odds in vegas, and things are looking great. You'd be surprised, Christianity's validity and the chances of me walking the sun's surface in the next five minutes are very similar.

There Is No Evidence Jesus Was Crucified

Jesus did not die on cross, says scholar

Jesus may not have died nailed to the cross because there is no evidence that the Romans crucified prisoners two thousand years ago, a scholar has claimed.

The legend of his execution is based on the traditions of the Christian church and artistic illustrations rather than antique texts, according to theologian Gunnar Samuelsson.

He claims the Bible has been misinterpreted as there are no explicit references the use of nails or to crucifixion - only that Jesus bore a "staurus" towards Calvary which is not necessarily a cross but can also mean a "pole".

The ancient Greek, Latin and Hebrew literature from Homer to the first century AD describe an arsenal of suspension punishments but none mention "crosses" or "crucifixion."

Mr Samuelsson, of Gothenburg University, said: "Consequently, the contemporary understanding of crucifixion as a punishment is severely challenged.

"And what's even more challenging is the same can be concluded about the accounts of the crucifixion of Jesus. The New Testament doesn't say as much as we'd like to believe."

Any evidence that Jesus was left to die after being nailed to a cross is strikingly sparse - both in the ancient pre-Christian and extra-Biblical literature as well as The Bible.

The REAL Jesus...

You must believe He was sent to die for our sins, once you believe or can come to terms with that then you repent from your sins. The bible still says you must accept this and repent from your sins. Then of course you gotta follow in line, no cursing, drinking (to drunkness) smoking etc all the things that are bad for you.

Also, there isn't evidence of Jesus being crucified? I don't understand the whole, "there MUST be evidence" thing. There were people before/after Jesus being crucified. It just goes back and forth if it was a "cross" or a "T" or whatever. Honestly, who cares what he was ON, it's what it was FOR. You're not suppose to worship this cross, or idolize it or have it in your house as a "show thingy" SMH @ people who do.
