I think it gives the defense something to work with, but I don't see how that helps the prosecution.

Especially when sexual assault isn't always as bad as it sounds.

Meaning, it can range from a patting a young lady on the backside...to forcing himself on her and brutally raping her.

Unless there's some physical evidence that a sexual assault took place, I don't see how it can be proven.

The only way it would help the defense is if they tried to use his statement to prove that the assault could have never happened, which in turn can easily be refuted by the prosecution with what I said before....you don't need to "like" someone to sexually assault them.

I'm not saying this statement alone will prove/disprove that he did it....all I'm saying is that it can be used as additional fuel with whatever evidence the prosecution already has.
