Ross always had soul beats (see DTR). Even in TD he has Tears of Joy and Freemasons. And he's not gonna just stop something that's been working for years now. He still works with The Runners, even though they don't make hits like that anymore. This thread is a reach.

Rozay has been SOUL.

Most people fail to realize that Lex Luger only produced 2 songs off "Teflon Don"....but his sound is so signature that it becomes repetitive and everybody in the game ran with it to make it even worse.

Ross didnt ditch the lush J.U.S.T.I.C.E League sound thats been the bulk of his production since "Trilla" but I do see him leaning on some East-Coast producers alot more with this project (Alchemist, Blaze, Swizz, Inkredibles).

Im really looking forward to hearing the track he did with Mary J. Blige.

Rick Ross always had nice soul samples in his songs look at the song "magnificent" he did with john legend that beat was very soulful. I heard "9 piece" with lil wayne is going to be on his new album which was produced by lex lugar. But rick Ross is not completely getting away from that lex lugar sound entirely.

Ditching the Luger sound?

Shit its more like the opposite. He's been featured on huge Luger sounding tracks more this past year than ever before.

Post the songs:

"That way" isn't the typical Luger sound and that's his highest charting single, next to the joints he did with Estelle, Khaled, and Monica, and Wayne.

The street-banger "Imma Boss" is his hottest street-single on the year so what Luger tracks are you talking about?

It amazes me when ppl say legends have to influence the game in some way yet discredit the strangle hold Ross has had on the hiphop scene the last few years. Everybody wanted their own version of BMF. I think Ross is gonna mix it up on this album although I expect this one to sound a lot for "east coast" than his last albums.

Also y'all niggas really hate that Nicki song that much? I think it sounds good for what it is.

just ignore him. He probably heard Teflon Don for the first time yesterday. Haters staying spitting half truths and uniformed opinions about Ross. Its disgusting.

BMF
John
Tupac Back
Im Not A Star
9 Piece (fuck it the entirety of the Ashes to Ashes mixtape)
600 Benz

......All came out within the past year. And im sure im missing more than a few songs.

Compared to pre Teflon Don, Ross was mostly known for his JUSTICE League/Inkredibles sound. Now ever since TD's release, he's been adding more and more of those gothic sounding shawty redd/luger influenced beats.
