Basically starting around 700 BC various nations invaded and conquered Israel. As Israel traded hands the people that lived there were often forced to leave with each new owner. This spread the Jewish people around the Mediterranean region.

exactly. ashkenazi jews are really a people known in ancient times as khazars

this has been proven to be wrong, but for some reason, black internet people are inseparably attached to the idea

anyway, jews became jews by jewing it up all the way

no it hasnt. the genetic tests did not disprove khazar heritage. youre being deceptive. the khazar empire wasnt genetically homogenous and further more..

"Recent genetic studies, based on Y chromosome polymorphic markers, showed that Ashkenazi Jews are more closely related to other Jewish and Middle Eastern groups than to their host populations in Europe. However, Ashkenazim have an elevated frequency of R-M17, the dominant Y chromosome haplogroup in Eastern Europeans, suggesting possible gene flow. In the present study of 495 Y chromosomes of Ashkenazim, 57 (11.5%) were found to belong to R-M17. Detailed analyses of haplotype structure, diversity and geographic distribution suggest a founder effect for this haplogroup, introduced at an early stage into the evolving Ashkenazi community in Europe. R-M17 chromosomes in Ashkenazim may represent vestiges of the mysterious Khazars.

The Jewish community has been the focus of extensive genetic study over the past decade in an attempt to better understand the origins of this group. In particular, those descended from Northwestern and Eastern European Jewish groups, known as “Ashkenazim,” have been the subject of numerous DNA studies examining both the Y chromosome and mitochondrial genetic evidence.

The focus of the present study is to analyze and reassess Ashkenazi results obtained by DNA researchers and synthesize them into a coherent picture of Jewish genetics, interweaving historical evidence in order to obtain a more accurate depiction of the complex genetic history of this group. Many of the DNA studies on Ashkenazim fail to adequately address the complexity of the genetic evidence, in particular, the significant genetic contribution of European and Central Asian peoples in the makeup of the contemporary Ashkenazi population. One important contribution to Ashkenazi DNA appears to have originated with the Khazars, an ancient people of probable Central Asian stock that lived in southern Russia during the 8th-12th centuries CE. Significant inflow of genes from European host populations over the centuries is also supported by the DNA evidence. The present study analyzes not only the Middle Eastern component of Ashkenazi ancestry, but also the genetic contribution from European and Central Asian sources that appear to have had an important impact on Ashkenazi ancestry.

great leadership, one city, one stronghold, one religion/clear law and order, wise stategic(war/conflict etc) decisions, imperial expansion, 2/3 generations later a culture/traditions are born that people identify themselves with.

Question could also have been how did moslims become moslim, christians become christians, holland became holland etc.

Jews weren't slaves/enslaved in Egypt, ancient hebrews conquered a small part of land in presentday israel/palestine which not even lasted 1 5th of the time egyptians/syrians ruled those lands(before/after), created a small empire which already consisted of very diverse people who practiced a totally different branch of the abrahamic faiths/judaism than in todays world....there are many different types of jews(just like muslims), in order to tell you how the jews became the jews you need to have some insight in human diveristy in africa n the middle east because there are to many ibn's and ben's to explain to you why 'jewish' and 'muslims' are fabrics of dynasties, families that where in power in certain periods of time and simply ruled on imperial way.

Now if you are wandering about how jews became the jews in europe, thats like asking how christians became christians in Europe ya just don't realize it yet.
