LMAO there aint nothing wrong with Fruity Loops. Alot of heat has been made with it. Its just that alot of wack niggas use it because you can download the demo for free. But yeah, most of these labels be pushing songs with simple ass beats and melodies nowadays...all they want is a catchy beat. Not an incredible beat. Ringtone money FTL.

sure, maybe going with pro tools is your best bet, but if a beat sounds cheap from FL, the reason is prolly that the producer didnt make the beat well.. or didnt mix it right, or a failed attempt at a master of the song..

Word, it relies more on the rappers and the bullshit dance or pop songs they wanna make. If you choose that path then your gonna get the appropriate production to match. But someone can't objectively look at hip hop and say production has gotten worse. Actually, if you think about it, most shit we listen to now is Production driven since displaying skill is rare on the radio and television. I mean shit...Jeezy's album gets played MOSTLY because of how crazy his production is. Only nostalgia can cloud someones judgment to the point where they think the 80's and early 90's production is better than what's coming out now. Only nostalgia can make a nigga say that old school beats (even from legends) are better than what's coming out now. Songs like "I aint no joke" or "The bridge is over" are historical/classic hip hop tracks. But it's still not touching the levels of production from lesser status tracks and artists like lets say..."I really mean it" by Camron.

People stopped sampling and started relying on pure synths and drum machines. It was good to begin with, the first half of the 00's produced some of the most creative Hip Hop. By midway though the sound in general turned to utter shit. Once upon a time you had to have skills to sample and produce. Not everyone had the dedication or could afford to produce; now any cunt can get on a computer or laptop with a pirate copy of Fruity Loops or Cubase or whatever and knock out a shit beat in 10 minutes. To be fair it's been like that with all music but Hip Hop really has suffered as a result
