I dont think theres a single bar that wouldnt get played now but would back then.lables use to censor the odd line in albums if they deemed it to offensive

White man is something I tried to study,

but I got my hands bloody

Ice Cube 'When Will They Shoot'

The Predator LP 1992

Ice Cube probaly would get called 'racist' for the line. And get black balled from the industry in this era.

first one that comes to mind is Got My Mind Made Up. Not sure if Method would be cleared for the album version just based on the label censoring his verse.

"Like [hitler]/ stickin' up [jews] with German lugers"

they'd never let his release that today, especially if they censored it back then.

Groups like 2 Live Crew, Geto Boys and N.W.A. were controversial as hell in the '80s and '90s. In 1994 on "Gimme the Loot" when B.I.G. says "I wouldn't give a fuck if you're pregnant / Give me the baby rings and the #1 Mom pendant", the word "pregnant" was censored on the original album. "Victory" on Puff Daddy's No Way Out album bleeped out B.I.G. calling himself "the son of Satan". That was in 1997. Eminem got censored from saying his mom's attorney's name on "Marshall Mathers". That was in 2000. Just some perspective.

''Elvis was a hero to most

But he never meant shit to me you see

Straight up racist that sucker was

Simple and plain

Mother fuck him and John Wayne

Cause I'm Black and I'm proud

I'm ready and hyped plus I'm amped

Most of my heroes don't appear on no stamps

Sample a look back you look and find

Nothing but rednecks for 400 years if you check''
