I fully understand that. Thats what me and my Qween was talking about. I said the problem with Nicki is her fanbase HAS to grow up and will they still feel comfortable listening to her when that happens. Thats why Missy was so great because she was playful but u dont feel stupid listening to her and u can grow up and still like her music.

Not really thats my natural voice... I just refined it because it could become a lil squeky at times. I'm from NY so we naturally have a lil toughness in us even the Girly Girls. TBH i'm just being me when i rap i dont feel i should pander either way what ever i feel like rapping about im going to rap about if ppl gonna like my music they gonna like me for being me.

I liked one MC Lyte song that was NBA streets vol 2. Never really listened to her though.

Most of the female MCs do it to themselves though. kim, foxy, etc. just wanna rap about fuckin so much that dudes just turn their music off and turn the porn on. and then the female rappers that dont just rap about sex, usually dont have much entertainment value or personality behind them. maybe if some girl combines the two in the right way she could be a hit, but i dunno.

I agree that Lauryn can go toe to toe with males, but not the rest of them you named. Mc. Lyte's best ghost writers couldnt even make her go up against any good males. But female rappers like Rage, Foxy Brown (in her day), Momma Mia (from No Limit) could hang with some males. Not to mention how Nicki Minaj was going toe to toe with Jay Z, Nas, Ross, Wayne, Drake, Luda, etc...so she can definitely hold her own.

Can't relate to them at all. Not that I can relate to all the rappers I listen to or everything my favorites rap about, but at least I can connect with something. With a female rapper, there is not connection. Minaj had a decent verse on "Monster", but even if she kept spitting like that before, I still could not listen to her too much. Only in a small dose.
