PE, KRS, Immortal Technique, Mos Def , Dead Prez , Old school Wu-Tang , etc. , in general , anyone representing the struggle , in some form or fashion.
I mean, old school CUBE is still the man ( Death Certificate ) , but very rarely can an artist stay relevant for 20+yrs like KRS-ONE. You have to be in it for more than money.You have to have other ways of getting money , besides music. ( Real estate, etc ) You gotta have timeless subjects. That's why you can bump old school Whitney & Areatha Franklin ( R-E-S-P-E-C-T- ) etc & enjoy it.
I know that's what the kids like, ( Hard Street Life ) etc , but that's because they were raised wrong. It represents their daily struggle life , but it should inspire them to develop better solutions , as opposed to worsening their situations for them & their kids.
Under 30 = Crack Baby ( That era ...I mean imagine growing up with Kool G Rap for a dad , or Pookie from New Jack City ( Chris Rock )
Imagine what the kids born 2 - 5 yrs ago have to grow up like. Look at they parents. College grads? Or thugged out beauty school drop outs?

Jaquim Phoniex started rapping, & don't get me wrong , I have nothing against that ( But he is wack , bottom line , he's a wack MC & I hate a wack MC ) , or him , but he fell off the stage during his first performance & dressed like it was winter , in the projects & he was about to eat.
Shades , ski hat , full beard, etc & chics had on open back skimpy tops , open toe heels & miniskirts. He rocking 20 Belows LOL!
