Yeah this one knocked me off my square when I first heard it. He's echoing NOI philosophy. I wonder why songs like this and Ice Cube's "Cave Bitch" didn't result in them getting blackballed.

Rass Kass easily. Substance over style. I don't want to hear some fat, overrated whale rap about "buttfucking straight up the ass, raw dog with rash." If Ras had the same clever marketing & quality of beats Piggie was lucky to receive, there's no doubt he would have been as prominent as the fat catholic schoolboy.

Soul on Ice came out in 1996. And the topics he covered on each song ranged from the masonic conspiracy, race relations, black militancy, to the role the World Health Organization played in exposing people to diseases.

It's 2010 and now people on youtube are making video's about illuminati, satanic, or masonic symbols in music videos/movies/video games etc.

Almost all of the shit, people post about on youtube regarding conspiracies, he covered on this album.

Lyrics matter.

The last song wasn't on the album, but was still released in 1996.

Soul On Ice (remix)

The waterproof MC, you ain't wettin' me

You need to stop rappin' and start robbin' banks like Steady B

Cause see, no matter how much green you make

You never taste the avocado, just another broke Versace model

Tiger Woods ain't even up to par in the game of survival

That's why I'm pissin' in y'all Cristal bottles

Drink Listerine, brush my teeth with amphetamine

So I can sound fresh and say dope things in between

Three strikes to five mics (forever snortin'), I want a woman

With the body of a whore and a personality like Lauryn

Can't even say I didn't know, 'cause while we wanna be

NWA they create the NWO

How many years? (fo' mo') so fuck them fake John Gottis

Ain't got no Maseraties, I be at the party sippin' hot toddies

My shit bumps in Arabic, out Audis in Saudi

I'm thuggish ruggish to the bone, and I'm gonna diss everybody

Chorus (x2):

You want the truth? Can't handle the truth, you want

Lexus Moonroof, Hennesssy 80 proof

Scared to death, playin' the game of life

Soul on ice

I keep the afterparty swervin', (*inhale*) not quite like Michael Irvin

Edumacatin' urban youth, like it or not

These soliloquies explain our people's lack of stability

You keepin' it real, but ain't got a clue what reality really be

See the diameter of your knowledge

Is the circumference of your activity, me?

I knew the deal before Babyface went solo, baggin' dime pieces

Stackin' dividends and dressin' in more linen (Lennon) than Yoko Ono

But on the low doe, we fightin' over the scraps

Worshippin' the Almighty Dollar

"In God We Trust," look it over

Now what the fuck pyramids got to do with the pilgrims or Jehovah?

"Novus Ordo Seclorum" means "New World Order"

That's why I keep my friends close and my enemies closer

You runnin' around in thousand dollar clown suits

Better get some boots when Lucifer turn your city to Beirut

Chorus: (x2)

You want the truth, cna't handle the truth, you want

Lexus Moonroof, Hennessy 80 proof

Niggas scared to death, playin' the game of life

Soul on ice

I avoid one-time, got Lela Rochon callin' my genitals Sunshine

Fifth floor on the Mondrian, so go 'head nigga,

Pop your dime, I'm the man whose esophagus

Transforms to a fuckin' gat like Megatron

Here's a sport unknown to Bob Costas, give it a name and you a hater

But violence don't play that game, mayn

Guerilla penmanship, the preacher impeacher

Heat-seekin' MC when I get pissed like a urethra

My day-to-day I'm tryin' to bubble, first place

This paper I chase, Touch Me and Tease Me like Case

But in the millenium, CREAM turns electronic

UPC barcodes on the hands is demonic

They got concentration camps from Alaska to Jersey

For when the President declares a national emergency

You're payin' car-notes, tryin' to Rock The Vote

I'm spittin' razor-sharp quotes tryin' to slit the Pope's throat!

Chorus: (x2)

You want the truth? Can't handle the truth, you want

Lexus Moonroof, Hennessy 80 proof

Niggas scared to death, playin' the game of life

Soul on ice

Uh, uh

Yeah

I'm rhymin', beats provided by Diamond

Got some more for you:

[video=youtube;xFWPmU6Ia4w]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFWPmU6Ia4w[/video]

[Ras Kass]

I was lyrically Hip Hop's top 5, before two of my niggas died

Syntax a deep impact Bruce Willis couldn't survive

A strange death, since niggas wasn't loud

I'm throwin monitors offstage cause Rakim said (move the crowd)

I'm one year older, ten times more determined, potna

A hairy situation like (Chaka?) fuckin Chewbacca

Connect the dots, murder by design

Shit on your intellect, and fertilize your mind (mind)

Pull out the guage and we can face off like Nicolas Cage

Battle for the second coming of Christ and see whose soul gets saved

One might be your girl so don't trust her. I'll tell it like Usher

*singing* Girl I'll make you wanna leave the clown you with,

Start a new relationship, make the bitch take the dick

She ate the dick too, though, that's Mr. mafioso dulo

We bustin caps at your culo....

[Saafir]

Waterproof, baby. Know what I'm sayin? That means we can't be wet.

*scratching*

(the waterproof MC, you ain't wettin me

you need to stop rappin and start robbin banks like Steady B)

[Ras Kass]

My style is sex and violence, vocabulary and science, and an uneasy

alliance

Let's toast the bread like a plugged up appliance (I'll drink to that!)

Remy on the rocks, the real estated eventually, son

Reverse (deverdi pras to pras verdi?) like, Century 21

I want the mansion and the yacht

And all the shit them rich wack rappers got (then the ultimatum was read)

Like every MC woke up with a thouroughbred horsehead in they bed

In other words, teflon tops with kevlar nuts

The closest I ever been to ass was cigarette butts

I'm nice, that's probably why I don't be fuckin with Sprite

Cause thirst is nothin, image is everything on the mic

These days, these DJs get paid under the table

Pay the most popular producer on the most popular label

Pay for full page ads in the most popular magazine

Now you got the most popular new artist

Guaranteed the air we breathe is thin, better tell her

Then I'ma choke the bitch out at 11:59, reveal the real Cinderella

(AAAAAAHHHHHHH!) When two hydrogens reach my oxygen atom

You can't gat 'em or get at 'em

Anatomically designed to be solar, fuck the rap star

When I die I want niggas doin drive-by's with my ashes in the car

R-A-S, H20 liquifyin you assets

Repo your flow even in (prepo letho?)

Straight outta Aruba, lampin with my boo from Bermuda

Lickin rugers in Cuba, blowin niggas out the frame

With brass knuckles and a tuba, my new maneuver is scuba

360 degrees of revenge like Montezuma

*more scratching*

[Saafir]

Waterproof...know what I'm sayin? It's like this man....know what I'm

sayin? Muthafuckas really gotta like reach within themselves, and pull your

spirit out your mouth...knowmsayin? But now it's all good cause I'm in

relation with the truth! You gonna have to really be yourself potna, look

me in the retina.

[Ras Kass]

When it's my time to shine, the whole world is goin blind

From the sheisty side of town where a nickel cost a dime

Niggas is (Boston?), Black brothas is bastards

The bubble break bread and give a nigga space like Nasa

I catch red eyed flights to rok mics

Spent too many drunk nights fuckin gold diggers and dikes

Same shit, different toilet though, concentrated to blow

I moonwalk across hot coals on my tippy toes for the flow

Stay low key like midget doorknobs

Stay above the law like Judge Judy giving blow jobs

Satisfaction, three out of four Braxtons

Especially Toni, fuck affirmative action

Cause Anglo-saxon fashions is packin Mack-10s

Trainin for helter skelter when the race war begin

Stay true to the game, but the game ain't true to the MC

Where niggas is bootleggin Makaveli 2 and 3

[Saafir]

Real game...waterproof..with the name, man. Listen to the name, man.

Waterproof don't have no muthafuckin (?) Junction, with nothin. Ain't no

image!

*scratching*

Real talk, Razzy was ahead of his time, not many people where on that sort of rap in 96... Cant wait for ADIDAS to drop, I pledged My $135... Ras Kass is defo in My TOP10, possibly even TOP5... Its hard for Him to spit his style of rap at times coz it goes over so many peolpes head, Hes like Jay-Z, He dumbs down His raps for people at times... If it wasnt for His label issues He would probably of got alot more love...

Soul On Ice, easily. The album is far more original, far more compelling, and on the rhyme tip... Ras is light years ahead of Jay. On Earth As It Is, If/Then, Soul On Ice, The Evil That Men Do, Reelishymn, Nature Of The Threat & Ordo Abchao are instant classics.

Soul On Ice is one of the most important albums of mid 90's hip-hop. It's amazing , atmospheric work that requires more attention than average hip-hop listener owns these days.

That album was special. Nature of the theat is one of my all-time top 10 hip hop songs.

ras kass is one of the illest lyricsts post some of your favorite ras kass verses and say why it was ill. The story begins like a Dickens Novel, David Copperfield "I am born"

And naw ***** we all just can't get along

5996 A-L The Year of Light Illuminati borner on a New World Orderc

And a ***** fight the struggle sorta kinda on some rappin' ****

But real activists be on death watch like Mumia Abu Jamal

Ain't this a ***** y'all figure

It only takes a trigger and 12.98 plus tax to potentially murder 50 *****s

So mother****ers better duck like Daffy

Cause nowadays the average ***** think they Butch Cassidy

And the Sundance Kid, doin' bids with no remorse

It's almost methodical, education is false assimulation

Building prisons is more economical, so your *****s in gang modules

Be giving more head than hair folicles

And *****s like myself know the ledge and still jump like Geronimo

Huh supreme mathematics and bad habits

Cause chasing cabbage keeps a ***** savage

Blame it on the disease, we all got the symptoms

Most of us *****s wanna be pimps but Uncle Sam really pimpin' them. the rhyme scheme in this verse was this abcdefghhijklmnopq more complex then any verse from any rapper expect for a pac verse and the metapors was sick check out the lines.
