So I got into a heated ass argument with my shorty last night. We eventually worked it out, but only cause I had nowhere to go (I'm visiting her). Shit got me thinking. Back in school, it was easy to get away. I could go chill in somebody else's apartment. Head off campus to a bar. Shit, even playing dominoes with my niggas in the crib was enough sometimes.

When you have the freedom to be in your element, things go a lot smoother. I vastly underrated the importance of having a physical, mental or emotional escape.

We both have our own room that we go to when we not getting along. I go play ps3 in my get away room and she go listen to music or something in hers

we never get into arguments like that. but if we need to cool off, or just take some time apart, i usually go to my moms and he hangs out with his friends or at his brother's house. a lot of times we just go to separate parts of the house tho. our tiffs last all of an hour usually, so hard to stay upset with him.

Fam this shit is killing me! I'm down here in alabama visiting her for a month and every time I leave I have to ask to use her car. I feel like I'm 16 again asking my parents to drive. I don't feel comfortable smoking a black or blasting music in her whip.

there's never really a need to argue so long as both people know they can honestly express whatever they're feeling/thinking...honesty should never spark an argument
