you're right, but for the wrong reasons.
artists on majors make fuck all on album sales because record labels kill them on the advance. the only time i'll buy an album now is on vinyl to add it to my collection of albums that i consider perfect to listen to straight through.
go see them in concert, maybe buy a t-shirt or something, don't support the major labels exploiting the artists. collectively we need to make sure that the labels fail completely before things get better for not just hip-hop but music as a whole.
