Young Money rapper Drake proved he "Started From the Bottom" but is now on top of the rap game, recently blowing $50,000 at a Charlotte, North Carolina nightclub.

Photos and details of the mega, pricey celebration bubbled online Monday (March 4) afternoon.

These pics are INSANE ... Drake rolled into a strip club in Charlotte, opened a CARDBOARD BOX filled with bricks of cash, and TMZ has pics of the $50,000 rainstorm he unleashed on the dancers. It all went down at Cameo Nightclub, and by the time Drake was done there was so much cash ... it literally carpeted the floor. We're told another rapper named Bleu Davinci chipped in an additional $25,000. There's been a lot of talk about whether Drake has real street cred ... or if he's just a poser with a privileged upbringing. (TMZ)

^^^^^^The reason for this thread, ain't exactly the fact that he dropped that much money on strippers, but the last line where Tmz suggests that he's a 'poser'.

Question is would yall agree with what they're alluding to? But, since when has Drake tried to act like he has real street cred or even tried to embody that in his music?

Sounds like an attempt by the media to confuse the reader like Drake is the kinda nigga that acts like he was a drug pin or some sort of criminal when he got on through his music, and that is completely false.

Or are yall of the same mindset, that believe that he's doin so?

Anyway, yeah the media sees that he's a rapper and makes assumptions about this content. This white dude I work with said one day a while ago, 'Drake? He's that kid from Degrassi, right? I don't understand that. Like how does that give you street cred?'. Like clearly hadn't listened to his music and assumed that since he's a rapper, it's all guns and drugs.

The only thing that I like about Drake is that he stays in his lane. (He throw in a greasy line every now and then that no one fucking believes. But for the most part he stays away from it).

But yeah, in general...fuck Drake. I hate that nigga. Lol.
