that would have gotten a somebody's attention, while proving they're serious and chance needs to be enacted, immediately. Nothing will changed until commerce is disrupted on a major level.
if they REALLY wanted to get a muthafucka's attention then the staffers would have blocked entry to these buildings.

What exactly would protesting at any of these bureaus establish? You should know that #DCFerguson has been protesting at DoJ - the bureau that actually has some jurisdiction and power to fix some of these problem administratively - every single day for the last several weeks.
You're saying these are pointless protests, and I'm inclined to agree that we need to make the next step by detailing policy solutions for our grievances, but the argument that these are pointless is silly. Lawmakers, policymakers, and the media elite are paying attention to a problem that has largely gone ignored save for few exceptions for decades.
If these are pointless, what is your remedy?
