Does anyone use stones and crystals for meditation and stress relief?

Meditation is supposed to help. It's not just a 'new age' thing, it's recommended by some secular doctors.

It used to help me but it makes things worse now. It makes me more easily frustrated and prone to obsessively-compulsively hashing over bad memories and 'injustice' and maybe anxious/depressed at other times. I stopped doing it a while ago because it was making my insomnia worse (and it's hard to do with restless leg syndrome - anything that 'relaxes' me can actually trigger my rls- it used to be looking at natural scenery. I can't even masturbate in peace or day dream about cuddling) then I started up again recently and stopped. Maybe there's something else that I'm doing or not doing that would make meditation as beneficial as it used to be if I fixed it. I used to like to think that meditation was universally beneficial for everyone. It might not be but I'm still convinced a lot of people would benefit from it.

By 'meditation' I mean clearing your mind of all thoughts and focusing exclusively on slow, rhythmic breathing (something like inhaling for 4 seconds, holding for 5 and then exhaling for 4 or something like that and imagining that all of the tension and stress in your body is pouring out of you when you exhale - google breathing exercises). There's also compassion meditation but I was never sure on how to do that.

Certain stones have energy specific to the problems you're having/meditating over. I don't like y'all like that so I don't care to explain.

I have some co worker who light candles and incents and put rocks in a circle a mediate. They say it relieves negative energy. Maybe I just don't get it. Life isn't that hard or maybe I'm just so apathetic life doesn't stress me out. How do rocks help you become happier?

this isnt really the type of forum to go into depth about this kind of thing. but ive found them to be useful suprisingly. it all centers around the aura and the vibrational affinity of certain stones to center parts of the aura to allow for a heightening within your own, and a removal of negativity.

you stopped at a crucial crossroad, bruh. thats how it works, it surfaces negative situations and energy hidden in the subconscious up into conscious awareness to wipe it out. you should have been even more vigilant, the results may have been a suprise.

Don't explain to much. Let the mundane do the mundane. @pico

Is it the crystal power or the mind power given to the crystal? Human's don't like to believe/accept they have they power to manifest things, good and bad, they attribute it to things outside themselves. But outsides themselves is a manifestation of the inner circumstances, individually and collectively.
