cant sing, cant act, cant write, doesnt play sports, doesnt speak a foreign language, doesnt play an instrument, do you know anyone like that???

A lot of people are like that. We fucked up as a society telling any and everyone that they are special. When in reality that just isn't the case. If everyone was special then the word special would have no meaning. I think we need people in the world to have no special talents or abilities, then that would give those of us who are special their own platform.

Word. Not to mention the great amount of individuals who fail to realize or utilize their very own talents.

I dont think this is a pretentious thread.

People have different skill sets. And considering the sheer number of people on the planet, im sure there are plenty who genuinely DONT have a talent or gift as Loo described them.

Any talent or gift requires time, effort and nurturing.

So in my mind, completely failing to develop it is the same as not having one.

Well said. We want to think everyone has a talent or skill. But the harsh reality of it is, not everyone has one...Sad, but true.

how many people have some kind of suppressed talents for 20+ years and then at some point in their adult life, their talents are exposed?

Again, that would mean they have a talent.

They just arent using it.

What I asked, is if anyone knew a person with no talent.

Yeah T/S what's the point of this?

"Yeah I know this no good chick who isn't gifted or talented"

What's the point of having a discussion about it?

Are you asking for an actual number here because obviously I can't give you any statistics. Are you in any way implying that this is impossible?

Because this is a message board and I was curious.

But it still goes back to if they aren't using it how can any of us on the outside ever truly determine whether they are at all gifted or not?

maybe. but if her art sells for alot of money, does that mean she is talented?

And it can be highly probable for an individual who for example may have endured 20+ years of abuse whose growth was stunted from a very early age.

the first definition of the word talent is a special natural ability or aptitude

the second, however, is a capacity for achievement or success.

so to answer your question, by definition: sort of, yeah.

No such person exists.
...........

attention to someones actions and your liking or appreciating that persons "talents" doesn't mean that they are not talented in some way just means they are not "talented" compared to someone elses expectations of what talent..

the most "Talented" people are not even talented.. they just have a lot of eyes on them.
