Funny enough, that's the whole point of people coming out...to normalize it to the point where being gay isn't a big deal and there's no need for a person to "come out". And people make a big deal out of being straight all the time...look at the fact this thread was made.

And I hate the comparison of being black to being homosexual. It's not the same thing at all. When it all comes down to it, a person's sexuality is their own business. There is no reason it should be public, and if they choose to make it public then it's on them to deal with whatever consequences arise. You can't hide being black.
