but would a better work ethic have prevented all those back issues?

i agree though offensively he was possibly the most gifted player i've seen...during his prime

you gotta respect JVG's opinion on this after having coached Tmac when he was at his best as an all around player.

I just wanna know when the fuck JVG gonna get back to coaching, I love him on TV but wtf....he should be coaching again by now.

Wasnt it more than just back issues though? didnt he have knee trouble too? (I could be wrong, just askin) but how can somebody disagree? not like we saw him in practice....but I wont put him up there with Kobe just because even when Tmac was at his best, Kobe > Tmac imo

Mos Def agree.Tracy Mc Grady did not live up to his potential as with a lot of NBA players. Players till this day fail to realize that Jordan is the best NBA player to play the game because of his work ethic. Notice he was only injured his rookie year and decided oh no never again and started to work harder than anyone else. Injuries are hardly freak accidents and more so due to lack of preparation. Talent will only get you so far young grass hoppers.

not really most his issues where inevitable.....when he first came in the league a lot of people didnt think he would last even 5 years in the league.....he had some kind of condition where one leg was slightly longer than the other, i mean we all can speak from the outside but we dont know what kind of pain and emotional toll that man was taking

its a damn shame he didnt get to finish out his prime

Theres something to it.. but not everyone was meant to be great.. for whatever reason. No one knows better than JVG.. i alway thought to myself that TMAC dindt have the IT.. but he had the talent..but thats the way the cookie crumbles

i've always said this about t-mac .. he was the best pure scorer i've ever seen .. someone who could score at ease and make it look so simple ..

if u watched him it didnt even look like he was trying .. where with kobe u see he putting his all in almost every bucket ..

the coordination, agility and finesse t-mac possessed will probably never be matched ... a one of one ..

ive always felt like this...all those consecutive injuries, work ethic and taking care of your body takes a part in that.

Tmac was never better than kobe.. but ....all through is career there was always better.........right i remember the discussions back in the day on cheapseats.. it was interesting to say the least

might be the dumbest shit i have ever read on here. saying kobe gives his all so that makes him not as good of a scorer

u obviously didnt watch the NBA from 04-07 cuz kobe was dominating in ways niggas dream of

dumb fuck

I don't know anything about T-Mac's health, nor am I a health professional, so I wont say he would have stayed healthy if he worked harder.

For all we know he probably would have just ended up hurt even more if he "worked hard."

Shit like that happens sometimes, a person may have the talent, but they have a weak/fragile body.

00-04, T MAC was far better player than Kobe...no doubt about it for me

It's been stories that he was lazy ever since his Orlando days I remember people saying that he was cleared to play through some injuries and he would sit out
