This didn't seem exact to the label cuz some of pac records weren't released on death row & I don't think quik was signed to them. Is it just artists affiliated or were on the label or actual death row releases versus bad boy? Mpr by the lox was used in the ruff ryder battle also so just wondering if criteria is specific or lax

Smh It's supposed be label specific, u can consider that into your vote if you like.

Dollaz & Sense was released under death row even though Quik wasn't signed to label. Same thing with Regulators and Warren G.

Only a couple songs from All Eyez On Me in there though it came out in 95 and that's the year Pac signed to Death Row.

*kanye shrug*

I knew that that's why I asked the question if it was label releases or artists signed to the labels. But thank you @Stew for answering both my questions. Great thread idea btw bro

Damn this shit is tough for real. I was surprised by the Bad Boy mix, threw some shit in there I either completely forgot about or didnt expect. Good shit by both of yall for real. Kinda wish I didnt put yall up against each other in the 1st Rd now, I couldnt resist the Bad Boy/Death Row thing tho lol

This is a terrible comparison.

Death Row =/= Bad Boy

Death Row was one of few labels on the whole coast

Bad Boy was one of many labels, most of the best music to come out of the East Coast in that era wasn't on Bad Boy (Illmatic, Wu Tang, Fugees, etc.)

Badboy mix needed more biggie....and I can't believe im saying this..but more puffy too. U couldve picked better songs off no way out (besides victory, that was a good choice)
