This is really true of West Coast hip hop at the minute, I find that all the artists I like bar a few are from there... they've really got a movement going and it's nothing to do with hyphy (Thankfully!) Their emcee's have a true to life script and they're delivering their music with soul. It's really a great time to be listening to the West.

@ boled X________________, yea we got a great crop of artist comming out here Odd Future,Kendrick,Dom Kennedy,Schoolboy Q etc. and its funny how alot of niggas on the IC be talking shit like all we got in the west is hyphy cali fag distric and lil b. that jus goes to show that they dont really know whats goinon out here...and ill mos def be coppin Diz Gibran's mixtape. i always will support more new artist coming out from my state

Yeah, no doubt, I think there's a thread in the Reason about the West having problems... but they couldn't be any further away from the truth. You can add Blu and Eligh to your list as well... and then Pigeon John and others...
