To be fair, Tony Allen was horrible during his time in Boston. Plus he was hurt. He knew he would be this good in Memphis?

The other players you mentioned were expendable.

Yea Ainge is a dumbass..I knew he fucked up right when the trade went down...I don't even understand why Kristic touches the floor, and Green just looks intimidated for some reson playin wit all them vets..He just doesn't fit what they try to do in Boston..Shitty deal all around..

no he shoulda kept tony allen. The Jeff Green trade was good. Doc Rivers needs to adjust the lineup tho

rondo, allen, pierce, green, KG

they'd have a balance of inside/outside and enough athleticism to defend. But im a heat fan so i hope doc continues to play bum ass jermaine LOL

Damn the dude won the first Championship in 20 fuckin years. Cant win every year, but Posey, Allen, and Perkins wanted more years than they can afford. Nate and House were too hot and cold. The season aint over yet. The best thing is they get 3 damn days off to get it together. And i have a suspicion there wont be a 28 FTA differential in boston....

Losing your best defensive player and one of the best big men in the league in a league that is short of good big men, for a average to below average player.

man people out here is fickle and have memory loss that dude got yall a championship team in the first place he got allen and kg and didnt trade rondo and perkins when they got him then he put players arond them that won that championship they had to get rid of perkins or he was gonna walk so they had to win the championship or lose him for nothin that trade was to for the future when kg,pierce, and allen retire they would still have a core with with rondo, green, and whoever they put around them

The "For the future" argument is the worst. Who blows up a championship contender to get some weak pieces for the future. If this is their last hurrah and they got a good chance at winning it all, then you go for the gusto while you can and then rebuild. You don't sabotage your chances in the hopes that you might be able to maintain some of that greatness. When the big 3 leaves, Boston is going to go back to sucking for a while. This trade is not going to change that at all.

Even tho im dissapointed in wat Green has brought us wat people forget is Pierce's backup Marquis Daniels messed up his spinal cord and was out for the year he was goin out playin over 40 minutes we HAD to do sumthin so Pierce wouldn't be burned out Ainge crapped out thinkin Shaq was gonna play a lot of minutes but he has a decent backup to spell pierce rather then nobody

LOL Jeff Green >>> kendrick perkins.

Doc Rivers is just a wackass coach that doesnt use his weapons properly. Jeff Green can guard and play the 3 or 4 offensively. Perkins is trash and only averaged 6rpg.
