Disagree with that statement a coach with a average team that wins a championship is better then a coach with a all star squad that wins.. Dame with out all stars = average ceo

Roc-A-Fella started as a group of risks with unknowns. Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Christion, etc.

I'm rooting for him too so I hope this works out. Currency needs some marketing but I guess that wont matter because the budget probably wasn't much anyway.

Beanie was not with Rocafella when it started, he didnt come onto the scene until 1998.

Dash developed all the artist Roc-A-Fella had. Jay was successful and so was beans, bleek, clue, cam, kanye & the diplomats. state property had some radio hits & his management of twista is the stuff of legend. also, both of his joint ventures with chicago's r kelly were major wins & could have been even bigger without the scandal. in house producer just blaze (reppin' jersey) had his greatest era here.

can't forget about dash's illustrious film record:
* Streets Is Watching (1998)
* Backstage (2000)
* State Property (2002)
* Paid in Full (2002)
* Paper Soldiers (2003)
* Death of a Dynasty (2003)
* Fade to Black (2004)
* State Property 2 (2005)

like I said, Dash is arguably the greatest rap CEO EVER. he dominated the Harlem, Brooklyn, Philly & Chicago rap market. who else did that? yeah jay inherited what Dash built but he couldn't carry the weight (just like when that white boy inherited Dungy's Bucs.) yeah it was alright but the team ain't what it was before. ain't nobody winning no championships but jay.

real talk, Jay-Z was nothing but Dame Dash's buisness intern at Roc-a-fella.

SMH @ Dame Dash asking Jay-Z at the end of the work day "what did you learn from me today"

But outside being in Things Fall Apart(even wonder people know he was in a Roots album), who knew Beans existed. He was an unknown then. That was the point. Can say the same with Kanye.

he did and that's why many people at Def Jam have said that Jay is the only reason Def Jam dealt with Dame Dash for so long...Dame annoyed the fuck out of alot of people when he was with the ROC...he wasn't a good of a businessman as you think

yeah I could see yo ass was waiting for somebody to say some shit like this, ol' mainstream ass nigga.

look, Dame may have made some mistakes, but he is still arguably the best CEO that ever did it with this rap shit. he fought a open business battle with the Israeli American Lyor Cohen (the real cracker who ran Def Jam) and lost. but in between time he made history. fuck what u weak minded cats is talkin' bout. Dash is a legend. a real Harlem legend that stood toe to toe with the Jews for 6 years. who u know wit heart like dat? huh?

damn nigga did Dame Dash bail you out or something...nobody saying the man didn't do his thing, but there's a reason the Roc was ran by 3 people and not just Dame Dash...Dash fought a battle he didn't have to fight and came out on the losing end...and there's plenty of rap label CEO's that have done it better...hell Puffy still got Bad Boy around nearly 20 years later...Cash Money has had a longer run than Roc-A-Fella, their artists have sold more records and have had longer careers so by your 6 year logic Baby and Slim are better CEO's than Dame Dash...
